Family Photos

As parents of two little ones, we get it.  We’ve been there.  Picture day is a hustle for even the most coordinated of folks.  So we know how important it is to have the best family photographer…someone who you can trust to make it seem like not even the slightest sweat was broken.  No tears were shed and the shoot went exactly as planned.  We’ve photographed hundreds of families over the past 15 years and every one of those family sessions have been so much fun! The memories and photos we’ve made will remind our families of some very special moments as the years pass. So don’t worry about a thing.  Don’t worry about the kids sitting still or smiling when you ask them to –  if they run away, we’ll chase them.  If they cry, we’ll help them smile.  We promise we’ll work our magic and capture some great memories for your family. We’ve had parents tell us they feel like there’s no possible way we could have gotten a single good picture with the way their kids behaved, but when they see the photos, that feeling totally disappears. Those little critters we call our children aren’t always the most open to smiling for someone they just met, but here’s the thing with us… we feel like we’re a part of your family the second we meet.  And your kids will feel that way too. We also have the most patience in the world 🙂

I would have given Scott and Shannon 5 stars before even seeing my photos!!

We had a wonderful experience with Schaefer Photography. When I first sent a message, Shannon and Scott responded right away! Scott was very flexible with his schedule and willing to work with me on time and location. Shannon was super helpful when it came time to think about outfits for the shoot. She brainstormed with me for days and days and let me send her outfits. During the shoot, Scott was so easy to work with and very friendly. My four year old son has often struggled with family photos but Scott made it fun and engaging for him! That meant the world to us!! I didn't have to bribe my son with ice cream the whole time to smile! Scott brought out the best of him and made it a much more comfortable and fun experience! I was worried if we would get any good shots with the mood my one year old daughter was in that day. When I got the photos back, I was SO happy with the results!! The photos were wonderful! His photos are so unique!! I am finally going to have photos to hang up in my living room. The walls have been blank for almost 4 years because I just couldn't decide what to hang out. Now, I have so many wonderful photos to choose from! I plan on using Schaefer Photography again in the near future!

Wow! I have three young boys, and trust me when I say- they don't sit still for photos! Scott and Shannon captured not only our family PERFECTLY- but also managed to get shots of my children that is each so unique and such as depiction of their personality. They gave us the most wonderful gift in these images!

My family had holiday photos taken by Schaefer Photography and it was the best experience! I was blown away by the comfortable environment Scott & Shannon created. Their eye for light, posing, and color was obvious in how they set our three generation group up in multiple spaces. Our photos were sent to us efficiently, and it was tough to decide which to print (they were ALL our favorites!)

After seeing how he captured some of my friends' most memorable moments, I knew I had to have him do the same for my family before the kids got too much older.
